Spiral Groove’s cofounder and principal designer, Allen Perkins, has engineered high-performance turntables since the 1980s. He is widely known within the analog audio industry and his products have garnered numerous industry awards. Allen is also a photographer and a musician, favoring in both pursuits the lean, authoritative design and mechanical simplicity of the very best equipment (the Leica M6 is his camera of choice and he plays a vintage Yamaha Recording Custom drum set).
